These various weights impact how deeply hyaluronic acid penetrates within the skin. Low molecular-weight hyaluronic acid is smaller and can penetrate deeper, whereas high molecular-weight hyaluronic acid stays closer to the top layers of skin for essential surface hydration and smooth finish.
